Service Authority Recognized for Excellent Management

NACWA Management Award

The Prince William County Service Authority recently won an Excellence in Management Award from the National Association for Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). The Service Authority was honored for its accomplishment at an awards ceremony on July 11 at the NACWA Utility Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting in Denver.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized for this prestigious award,” said Service Authority General Manager Dean Dickey. “The criteria were so stiff that only two organizations received this award.”

The Excellence in Management Program was launched in 2003 to acknowledge the significant achievements of NACWA member agencies in the utility management arena. This program honors member agencies that have implemented and sustained, for a continuous three-year period, successful programs that address management challenges faced by public clean water utilities.

“This honor celebrates a utility’s commitment to sustainable, successful programs that exemplify the attributes of an effectively managed utility,” said NACWA Award Committee Chair Edward G. Henifin.
