2018 Water Art Invitational (updated)

The Water Art Invitational (WAI) is an annual art contest hosted by the Prince William County Service Authority that is open to all high school students enrolled in public, private and homeschools located in Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.

We will recognize all of the young artists and announce the winners at the WAI 2018 Awards Ceremony on:

Thursday, March 8, 2018
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. to view the artwork
Awards ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m.
Service Authority Main Lobby
Raymond Spittle Building
4 County Complex Court
Woodbridge, VA 22192

The theme of the WAI 2018 is "Water Helps Everything Happen"

Students who submitted artwork for the contest were strongly encouraged to remain mindful of the theme while considering and creating their entries. Judges for the competition apply as much weight to demonstrated artistic ability as to clear comprehension and interpretation of each year’s established theme when scoring the submissions.

Teachers and students can download Rules and Entry Forms and Artwork Entry Labels, which must be completed and submitted for each entry, as well as a flyer that can be printed and posted within schools (with the proper permissions) to help promote the event.
