Approximately 1,570 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main and 10x6 dual walled HDPE force main, in a common trench, on the SW side of Davis Ford Road to within a ¼ mile of Laurel Glenn Court.
All work has required the use of flaggers to maintain traffic; delays have been minimal.
On the horizon for the next couple of weeks:
Install 12-inch ductile iron water main and 10x6 dual-walled HDPE force main, in a common trench, on the SW side of Davis Ford Road from for approximately 1,000 feet northward, just beyond Laurel Glenn Court.
Excavation of bore pits on either side of Davis Ford Road at the intersection with Occoquan Forest Drive/River Forest Drive.
Install Fire Hydrants and valves according to the plans.
Work schedule moving forward is 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
Flaggers will continue to manage traffic; you can expect to see continued delays along the work route for the next couple of weeks.
All planned work is subject to change and is contingent upon the appropriate weather for underground utility installation.
Daily inspection and maintenance of temporary asphalt patching.
