Work Completed from 08/17/15 to 08/28/15:
  • Approximately 1,570 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main and 10x6 dual walled HDPE force main, in a common trench, on the SW side of Davis Ford Road to within a ¼ mile of Laurel Glenn Court.
  • All work has required the use of flaggers to maintain traffic; delays have been minimal.
On the horizon for the next couple of weeks:
  • Install 12-inch ductile iron water main and 10x6 dual-walled HDPE force main, in a common trench, on the SW side of Davis Ford Road from for approximately 1,000 feet northward, just beyond Laurel Glenn Court.
  • Excavation of bore pits on either side of Davis Ford Road at the intersection with Occoquan Forest Drive/River Forest Drive.
  • Install Fire Hydrants and valves according to the plans.
  • Work schedule moving forward is 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
  • Flaggers will continue to manage traffic; you can expect to see continued delays along the work route for the next couple of weeks.
  • All planned work is subject to change and is contingent upon the appropriate weather for underground utility installation.
  • Daily inspection and maintenance of temporary asphalt patching.
