Model Water Tower Competition

Program Overview

The Model Water Tower Competition is a fun and educational annual event giving Prince William County middle school students, grades six through eight in public, private and homeschool settings, the opportunity to test their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) skills. Teams of up to three can work together and earn prizes for building functional model water towers. Entries are rated by professional judges and win cash prizes based on structural, hydraulic and cost efficiency as well as design ingenuity.

3rd: Matthew Duffett from Benton MS

Honorable Mention: Jeremiah and Jerry Boasmanboon from St. Francis of Assi

Most Innovative Design: Gabrielle and Matthew Johnson from Benton MS and Ashland ES
