Service Authority Hires New Chief People & Talent Officer

Following a national search process, Prince William County Service Authority General Manager Calvin D. Farr, Jr. has appointed Ms. Sandra Hardeman as the organization’s new Chief People & Talent Officer effective March 7, 2022. 

Ms. Hardeman has more than 20 years of human resources experience serving Virginia higher education and Kindergarten-Grade 12 organizations, with previous roles as the Director of Employee Relations and Director of Recruitment. She most recently served as the Director of Human Resources for Brailsford and Dunlavey, a planning, development and management advisory services firm. Ms. Hardeman was also a Human Resources Manager for the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Dulles Toll Road early in her career. 

“I am very excited to have Ms. Hardeman join our great Service Authority team,” said Mr. Farr. “I’m really impressed with her people-first focus. As our new Chief People & Talent Officer, that people-first approach will be paramount as we strive to be a top employer of choice and continue to focus on performance excellence.”

Ms. Hardeman holds a Master of Science in Management from Liberty University and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR and SHRM-CP). She has continuously focused on industry best practices while serving as a Workforce Development Instructor for Northern Virginia Community College’s Human Resources Certificate Program. Ms. Hardeman is a long-time resident of Prince William County.

The Service Authority provides drinking water and wastewater services and superior customer service to more than 96,000 homes and businesses in Prince William County and has a workforce of about 330 employees.
