Project Description

The existing Heritage Hunt Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) will be replaced to increase pumping capacity from 3.6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 7.81 MGD. The new, higher-capacity SPS will be capable of serving the anticipated build-out of residential and commercial developments in and around the Heritage Hunt community. A new 24-inch Force Main will be constructed from the SPS to a location at the corner of Heathcote Boulevard and Route 29.

Project Status

The design, permitting, and advertisement for bids occurred from July 2020 through January 2022. The bid opening for the construction contract was on February 15, 2022. The Board of Directors approved the construction contract award on April 14, 2022. Construction began in August 2022; the estimated final completion is August 2024.

Current Project Activities

  1. Construction of the new pumping station is approximately 85% complete.
  2. Installation of yard, mechanical, and process piping, HVAC duct, and electrical items for the SPS building is in progress.
  3. There are approximately 2,300 feet of FM remaining to be installed parallel to Heathcote Boulevard, which is on-going.
  4. Contractor repaving of impacted areas of Heritage Hunt Drive with temporary asphalt is complete. The Heritage Hunt HOA will repave the full width of Heritage Hunt Drive, Fieldstone Way, and Alderwood Way after the project is complete.
