Keep Wipes Out of Pipes!

The only thing that should go into your toilet is pee, poop and toilet paper! Protect your plumbing and the sanitary sewer system by NOT flushing any type of wipe down toilets or drains.

Unlike toilet paper, personal hygiene and surface disinfecting wipes do not disintegrate. If wipes come into contact with fats, oil and grease in sewer lines, they can congeal and form “fatbergs” that can cause sewage backups into properties and even cause sanitary sewer overflows into the environment.

Dryer sheets, dental floss, feminine products, condoms, facial tissues, diapers and paper towels can also cause backups and overflows.

Please toss all of these items in the trash to keep plumbing and the sewage collection system in good working order.
